Gestures:

Technically a IOS 5 update, turn them on in 'General' under settings with Multitasking Gestures

Assistive Touch:

Is your home button broken? do you want to not actually shake your ipad to change the song, then turn on Assistive Touch under General as well. This puts a little white icon on the screen that brings up a menu that will let you use Siri, go to the Home screen, or other nice details.

Do Not Disturb:

All people should turn this on, you can Schdule it to come on at night in Notifications. It will ignore any call that comes in that is not in your favorite list.

Siri:

With this update, Siri does almost as much stuff as when they bought out that company. Noteable new features is the movie listings, and reserving a table for dinner (although Corpus has exacly 2 resturaunts signed up for open table!) Other niceties are sports scores, and opening any application by name.

Map update

The big news is the turn by turn directions, but it will also do nifty 3D maps of big cities with big buildings...

Picture Frame:

Definately not a mus have feature, but a nice touch.

Mail:

Now has a VIP Box, and it is much easier to send a picture from your photo rolls.

This will let you do anything when something happens. You can have it upload instagram photos to dropbox, or vice versa. You can have it email you when things happen, or call you phone with information.
