What it does:
Modifies targeted webpages. Unknown what those sites are. Example: Could
modify bank login page to pass login credentials to the bad guys.
- if you don't enter password, then only infects single user
- if you do enter password, then infects all users
One way to keep from getting any java based viruses in Safari is to simply turn off Java!
Disable Java in Safari
- Safari > Preferences > Security > Uncheck Enable Java
The best way is to Run Apple Software Update to get security fixes
A good free antivirus is Clamav
- Doesn't disable the window, but makes it useless.
- Forces no windows to reopen on logging in.
