Laser mouse

Logitech just came out with the first laser mouse for $79

Microsoft music site

Microsoft just released their own music site which has an album for a whopping 9cents cheaper than apple! Never mind that the songs do not work with an ipod. They have a page describing how to use you songs on an ipod by "bypassing" their own digital rights management software. I bet the record labels were happy with microsoft describing just how easy it was to bypass their own DRM.

Epson presentation

Robert talked about a lot of epson products. Some highlights:

Epson scanners a very highly rated, and all but the cheapest will do negatives and slides.

When buying a scanner, the higher the D-max rating the better. Anything better than 4 is super, 3-4 is good, 1 or 2 is not very good quality.

Epson makes 2 kinds of ink right now, the Durabrite, and the ultrachrome.

The Durabrite is in most of the working printers, it's waterproof! last a very very long time.

The Ultracrome is for it's photo printers and makes a little bit better looking photo's at the cost of not being waterproof.
(I personally like the waterproofness)

Scanning slides

If you sllides scan too dark, you need to find in your program where you can change the type of scan from "Reflective" to "Transparency" or "negative" and it will turn the light on for you and make the slides look much better when you do the scan.

Twain

TWAIN stands for "technology without an interesting name"
